Service Description
The Developmental, Individual-differences, Relationship-based (DIR) approach is based on understanding and promoting child development. DIR is a developmental model focused on understanding each child's individual profile. Intervention strategies are implemented in a respectful and fun way to support the development of the child's Functional Emotional Developmental Capacities to help the child reach their fullest potential. This is done through a process that is based on developing an intrinsic desire or motivation to attend, communicate, and learn. DIR promotes development in several areas, including: emotional and cognitive development communication sensory development motor skills At Spectrum Village we work to strengthen the child's capacities of relating, communicating, and thinking while having fun.
